Today on this blog hop we are featuring Jill Cameron Creations digital cut files. We hope we inspire you to use the different Cut files from the shop to create beautiful projects.
You should have arrived from Marie’s Vermont Creations if not,
Jill Cameron Creations , is the beginning of this hop!
Today I'm using my Cricut Maker to help me with my project. I'm using the Foil Quill pen from We R Memory Keepers. I've had this pen which I bought a while back and had yet to use it. I thought this was the perfect time to use it. Let me tell you that I loved it. I decide to make a card to send to a friend. I though making card to mail with the #stayathome going on right now that this would be nice to send a little bit of happy mail to a friend.
I used the Fancy Floral Drawing and the Stitched Circle, Square and Oval Frames cut files from the shop, she had many cut files to choose from. I used the Square that I made into a rectangle in Design Space. I also used the Hello Draw design from Design Space. I uploaded the images to Design space then converted the File to a Draw line at the Linetype function. You highlight the image then change to draw in the dropdown menu. I did that with all three images.
With the Fancy floral image I attached a white circle behind it so that the Cricut could cut it in the shape of the solid circle.
I put the cardstock on my mat and added the foil on top of it and placed it down with the washi tape that came with the Foil Quill pens then let the Cricut do its job.
Look at the magic that happens!
I'm in love with this technique. It almost reminds me of letter pressing which I think is really nice. I added a wobbles to the back of the circle piece to make it interactive. I hope you enjoyed and learned from this tutorial. I enjoy teaching and I hope I inspired you to try the cut files. If you have a Cricut and don't use it my mission is to help you start to use it. I invite you to join my Craft Squad Facebook group I'm in the process of teaching Cricut tutorial in there along with other DIY projects. I also have a Facebook page where I create DIY kits and Live online workshops.
Don't forget to take a look at all the cut file that Jill Cameron Creations has over at her shop and Everyone can download the package of zip files from Jill’s website.
Happy Crafting from my craft table to yours,
